With childhood obesity rising and children becoming victims of inactivity, getting them active if they are not in sports is difficult. The latest statistics from the American Obesity Association shows 30% of children aged 6 to 18 are overweight and another 15% are obese. Unfortunately fitness has taken a backseat in our society today. With video games, internet and TV, our children are becoming victims of inactive, unmotivated, unhealthy lifestyles and their health is deteriorating rapidly.
Our trainers can be helpful in providing direction, structure and built-in strategies that help create a habit of healthy living that has a lifelong impact. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics kids as young as 8 can benefit from low resistance exercise.
The workouts are designed to be fun and challenging utilizing exercises to increase strength, improve cardiovascular endurance and improve motors skills for better coordination.
